Good to see you advancing in the application process. I just recently completed my interview/medical. I am awaiting to be merit listed. Here is my updated status:
Recruiting Center: Toronto
Regular/Reserve: Reserve
Officer/NCM: NCM
Trade Choice 1: Infantry
Applied: December 2, 2014 (online)...
Does anyone know what the start and end dates of summer BMQ for primary reserve members? I want to know these dates so I can plan my summer around these dates.
So hypothetically (because they do not reveal how you did/scored on the CFAT), lets say I got the bare minimum to pass, would this mean I would not be given an opportunity to do the medical/interview? As a group we were told we would not be given interviews/medical because primary force gets...
I am in the same boat. However I have not left the country in the last 10 years. I was born in Canada. Not sure what the hold up is and I too have noticed fabvious and other get a medical/interview. Any suggestions?
Does the course run from June 28 till the end of August (at Meaford, as in I need to stay there for the duration of the time). No I am not scheduled for medical tomorrow. When did you receive the call for the medical?
I am in the application process as well. I just need to get through my medical/interview and get merit listed. I am hoping I can attend the PRes BMQ this summer. Did your recruiter tell you how the schedule works for reserves?
Wow thats a long time. Im trying to get into the reserves in Toronto. I am awaiting for my medical/interview. I guess I'll just have to wait a bit longer. Thanks for the info. This thread helped a lot.
Just of of curiosity, how did your interview go? Do you know when your BMQ will be? I am in the same boat as you, reserve however I am still awaiting my medical/interview session. I was hoping I could do BMQ during the summer.
I am assuming they tried to contact you however they could not get in contact with you or they expected you do try and contact you and you did not. I know for myself (though I am in the Reserves), I had to many multiple efforts to ensure my file was constantly opened and progressing through the...
Upon completing the CFAT I was advised that I did not meet the requirements for my trade choice #1. However I met the "standard" for trade choice #2. The recruiter did allow me to rewrite the CFAT to give me the option to attempt another shot at my first choice trade. I declined and opted in for...
Thanks again to everyone that replied. I appreciate it. Im really worried about the math portion. Anyways, i'll keep you guys posted as to how I do once I complete it.
Hello,
I am due to do my CFAT test and personality test soon (on the same day). I have a few questions. I did read that huge sticky thread about CFAT but did not get my answer. Here are my questions:
1. How many questions would we get per section?
2. From my understanding if one were to excel...
Hello,
I was curious if I was able to change my trade during application process. I am currently in the infantry officer stream program however I was thinking perhaps another trade. Would I get an opportunity during the interview stages to see if I can advance? OR should I contact me recruiter...
In addition to my first post. There is a thread related to interviews that I am sure can be helpful to you: http://army.ca/forums/threads/12755.0.html
(Moderators sorry for the double post, I could not find the edit button).
Cheers :salute:
Hi Murky and welcome to the forums.
When it comes to interviews just be yourself and be expected to know what trade you want to get into. An interview is pretty straight forward and should be face to face. Just treat it like a regular civilian job interview. It gives the recruiter and...
I'm glad I saw this thread. I am in the same situation. My family doctor (for so many years) will not be returning to practice (I am assuming retired). Anyways I have been going to this walk in clinic for problems I have had in the past (for just about a year). Hopefully that will help me out...
