Can anyone tell me the CF's policy on applicants who have a medical condition that is controlled via medication? Are there cases where an applicant would be denied based on if they ran out of meds, it would seriously affect their work performance, and other cases where, if the applicant ran out...
Thank you very much! I'm working on a project for Uni and received "Bella Dwain" verbally and didn't ask to verify the spelling - just thought I could google and get the correct spelling. Heh boy was I wrong :)
Thanks again,
Katherine
Did anyone serve in Somalia here? I need the correct spelling of Belladwain. No atlas online has the proper spelling so I must be WAY offbase in my attempt to spell it. :(
Anyone here that can help me?
Thank you,
Katherine
I'm not a news person or anything, its simply for a school (Uni) assignment. I'm hoping to get some photos of Canadian military operations with children in the photos. Our professor wants us to write a short story on "my feelings" about the photo, etc. (good or bad).
If you have any photos...
Not trying to be picky, but for those who want to read the link they missed the "e" in Smokey, so the link is actually:

It is a sad day :(
Wahh we just moved from Vancouver to Winnipeg. Maybe my profile still says Vancouver. Have to change that. But maybe my mom in law will rent it for him as she is still in Vancouver. Thanks for the tip!
I'm curious if this is the case, then why did the CO approve the request? Mind you it wasn't official, it was verbal, so we should get a firm approval first before proceeding. Is there a CANFORGEN on this? Not to be rude, but if there is we need to read it so we can be aware of the...
We are getting married in September and we are on an extremely tight budget because we just bought a house.
More than anything my fiance would like to get married in the Air Force tartan full formal uniform (kilt) but I can't afford the nearly $2,000.00 to purchase the full set. I can get him...
This from another board I read:
I had been told on more than one occasion that the CF member can choose to forego and transfer this educational reimbursement to his/her spouse. Does anyone know if this changed with the recent changes to the policy, and where to get more info?
This is a DND...
Is there anyone here willing to share their story of adopting a child while they or their spouse was employed by the CF? My husband and I are just starting to look into it, but I would appreciate very much having someone who's been thru the process and doesn't mind answering a few questions I...
I'd love to hire a professional photographer for $1,000 but it comes down to money; we simply can not afford to put out a large amount of money on the reception and the photographer. We have cut the reception down in size to fit our budget, and as it stands it is not much more than the...
Hehehe I asked my guy if they had a "regimental photographer" and he said yes, basically someone was handed a camera and told "go take some photos". So I guess thats not such an option for us :( But I'll ask around, maybe there's a student as someone suggested that might help us out. I'm also...
The Image Techs in Winnipeg don't do weddings. Anyone know of a photographer who does side jobs in Winnipeg? I'm not into paying 2-4K for photos. I'd rather spend that on the honeymoon thank you very much!
Also, has anyone heard of the Air Command Band playing at weddings? I'm not talking...
Thanks everyone for your help! We made it to Winnipeg, safe and sound. The trip wasn't so bad, and luckily both cats were fine. One was so fine in fact I think he really enjoyed car travel! The other one I think became a bit car sick, but only to the point of being quite lathargic. Once we...
Keep in mind, as a few others have mentioned, CFRC can get extremely busy at times. You may have to keep calling, which is good in the fact that it shows you are genuinely interested, and don't give up after only phoning once or twice.
Good luck!

I know lots here have driven across the country with wife/children/pets so I'm hoping to get some good feedback.
We are being posted for the first time, and most likely going to be purchasing a cargo van, which is a mini van with only two seats at the front. I think this will be a good...
You can check out: http://www.armymwr.com/shades/eligibility.html (or shadesofgreen.com). It appears to be US military only, but email them directly and ask, I bet they would supply the discount to NATO allies. Please let us know if you do contact them and the result.

I was reading the Temporary Military Lodging book (US Publication) and it says Winnipeg has a hotel on base, but the email address listed isn't in service. Does anyone have an email or phone # (1-800 if there is one) for the on base TML? It says its on Whytewold, so this would be a very good...
