When i was in theatre a year and a half ago we only had the green colours.  From all the guys i've talked to in A-Stan they've told me they only had green and cadpat AR covers.  My question is are the vest in that pictrure simply cadpat covers or has cts finally put that vest into mass production.

I just noticed that the guys providing security for the PRT in Kandahar all seem to be carrying the c8fthb or what ever its called now.  Is this the norm now for everyone to be carrying the 16 inch in country?

Will the RAV without plates provide any protect... as in is it a frag vest within itself?  If so what vest provides better ballistic protection without plates?

I was just wondering what kind of maneuverability one has while wearing the RAV over top of our gen 3 frag vest with plates.  From pictures i've seen it looks like it is pretty bulky by itself.  Do you find you have problems going prone or crawling with both vests on?? zak

Ive had mine for about a year and a half now, one tour with it (roto 13).  The biggest problem Ive found is that they were made quite poorly.  Most of the vest started falling apart quite quickly.  The snaps on the frog tend to break quite easily.  Infact almost everyone in my platoon had at...

Quick question on the personal role radios being used by the athena guys.  In all of the pictures i have seen with guys with PRRs, i have yet to locate a pretzel switch of any sort.  Can anyone fill me in on where its located on teh soldiers bodys.  Aswell do the guys using them find them useful?

KevinB- are you saying that the c8 in your picture is a c7a3 lower reciever with a c8 upper reciever w heavy barrel???  If thats the case, is the rest of the combat arms gonna see those or is a piece of kit like that reserved just for operational deployments?

Kevin B  - is that a c8 or a c8SFW?? 

KevinB- Do you think its a realistic idea that  the CF will equip its light inf sects with mixed sights?  And wouldnt having mixed sights in a section cause 50% of the guys to be inaffective at anygiven time?
