I thought I would share this with y'all.

May 31, 2011, I was on the bus to Ottawa. Now, having been isolated, by being grounded, I had not heard of a soldier's death. Bombardier Karl Manning. was on his way to Toronto. We (my classmates, at the time) and I was unawares, but having seen the two police cars, moving slow, I realized what it was, a reparation ceremony. I alerted the teacher, who then alerted the driver, who actually pulled over, out of respect. We piled off the bus in time to salute the hearse as it drove by.

Nice story - thanks for sharing with all of us.

In return, here's a poem I received from Scotland
(Remembrance Day summed up in 22 words!)

I'll wear a little poppy,
As red as red can be,
To show that I remember
Those who fought for me.

Lest we forget.  :brit poppy:
