Yes..the confusion comes between "merit selected" and actually selected. I think what Wolfe ment was merit listed, meaning he is eligible for selection boards now, meaning he is on the list, that they will evaluate his file and possibly give him an offer at future selection boards. P.....

Yes..course number means platoon. For example Fry and I have 0252, others with the same number will be with us, in the same classes, doing drill together, housed together. The people with 0253 course serial number will do all the same things, they will just do it maybe at different times and...

My recruiting center just photocopied mine for their reference and use... If you have the same one as I got, there should be 2 pages of instructions on how to fill it out, and under the section for past addresses it just says you only need postal code for current address and others IF YOU KNOW...
