It would appear that after the fitness test is passed the training begins continues or needs to be stepped up.
I don't know how many people have seen this two page prep guide for BMQ.

I personally just discovered it on the new and improved CFLRC website.

Failing to Prepare ... is Preparing to Fail http://www.cflrs.forces.gc.ca/site/soyez_prets/suggestion/prog_e.pdf

This file is a good read for anyone moving foreward after passing the fitness test

Here are the course training standards listed in the document.

Made it easier to gauge where my training is.

Good luck everyone perhaps I'll see you at BMQ.

Couldn't find this on the army.ca search so thought I would drop it here.

Its a good reference, for sure its gonna help a lot of people, read the .pdf file it gives you a bigger idea.

No, these are not new fitness standards I don't believe..I think they are just suggestions for where recruits should be when they show up at their basic training location..

Thats probably true, but there very specific suggestions. ;)

From the pdf:
"To help you assess your fitness level and monitor your progress for combat arms training, here are some performance objectives you should aim to achieve by your enrollment date"

No idea how fast I can walk. I'll have to test that.

Ya the weight load walking info was something i had not thought about.

I'll have to test that too.

As mentioned in another thread... there's nothing to worry about. If you're in decent shape, you'll be bumped up to military standard by the end of training.
