For the entrance exam to get into the military.

Is it still 2 chances total in your life time?

I did the test about 4 years ago and wasn't successful.

If i write again, am I banned for life?

Or has it changed?

This was the case when I wrote my CFAT in June 07; two writes in your lifetime and they use the most recent score, not necessarily the best one.

Calling your local CFRC would probably yield the most accurate information regarding the CFAT.

The rules do change from time to time.  The test specialists tell us that the test is actually very consistent - in that a person tends to get the same score unless there has been a significant change.

You can get more the 2 chances - but expect to provide a lot of information on what education upgrading you've done since you took the test for the second time.

You will want to ensure that you have done something to improve your appitude aptitude before you re-write the test.

Well I havent gone to any classes to upgrade my math (which is what I failed at horribly the last time I wrote the CFAT 2 years ago)
but I have been working hard on it. So...does that prove that I've done something for my aptitude?
Or do I actually have to have a class of some sort in my transcripts saying that I upgraded math?

I don't have much right talking about any of these matters but personally if I was in your situation and I took classes, I would gather all the evidence to show what  I have done to improve.. all classes, transcripts, grades, emphasize on the type of math(s) learnt, how long the course was, passed im assuming.. i think the transcript covers most of that but probably not the math type since i expect it will be in a course code.

Damn...cause the only transcripts I have are from me old high school. No more, no less.
And I doubt that I can magically worm my way through the interview by simply saying "but I studied my little buns off! Honest!"
So, I guess the only thing I can do is pass the CFAT with awesome marks. Or at least pass it with high enough marks to get the MOC's that I want.

well like everyone else says talk to the CFRC, they know for sure..

if you are really worried you probably could take some adult night courses, equiv. to high school credits and i think it may be cheaper than a college course which you learn pretty much the same material if your looking just for basics.

See, I already know what I needed to work on and have been working on.
And that is fractions  :rage: the most evil mathematical invention.
So I've been boning up on my adding/subtracting/dividing/multiplying and reducing fractions skills.
I knew one day they were gonna get me, but I wont let them have the last laugh.

But lets do say that I fail again...(correct me if I'm wrong please) but I need to wait another 3 months before I rewrite OR am I completely S.O.L? Just wanting to make sure.
