You'll just have to visit the recruiting office for that.
They have tonnes of information there, and I'm sure you'll find the people there helpful. Don't be intimidated of visiting with questions.
Also if I remember correctly, 39 CBG's headquarters is in Vancouver.
If that pie chart is true I'd say it would seem they wanted to exterminate the Poles rather than the Jews considering the petite 1% of German Jews who one (or at least I did previously) would think as the primary target of the Nazi's anti-Semitic policies.
42% Jewish certainly, and 46%...
And let's not forget "None is too many" or the MS St. Louis. During WWII it would seem Jews didn't have any true allies and I think it's amazing that people look back on it and congratulate the Allies for saving the Jews when realistically they caused so many more deaths not only by inaction...
I'm sure if you did a search you could find many answers to your questions. The Canadian Forces likes independent and capable members, and being able to find information on joining (which is readily available) is one of your first steps.
Whoa whoa whoa!
I just checked my enrollment status and saw this:
That date has passed... I was never contacted by the CF after I submitted my application, any sort of explanation? I have not done any of the above.
Hey I know everyone is always talking about running shoes, but what about weightlifting shoes? Is there lots of heavy weight training at BMQ and should I bring my wrestling or oly lifting shoes? Runners just aren't great for it.
Hey what's the deal with LASIK (it's always funny for me thinking of people getting LASIK since that's also a horse blood thinner...), how long do you have to wait before you're good to go with the CF?
Also Combat Engineer is combat arms and hence needs a V3, right? I'm worried I'll be V4...
Haha, I wouldn't get it anyway as I don't have a rifle chambered in it :'(
It was just curiosity since some of the surplus is pretty neat, though most are reloaded now.
What happened to your rifle chambered in that caliber?
I used to be looking at getting a M95 carbine, but the scarcity of ammo really was off putting since I don't reload... Now it's gone.
Also about your ammo, just curious is it surplus or reloads?
Go figure! Too bad you don't need woodwork, I'm from St. James too but have just about nil experience in plumbing and I'm not going to tech school for electrical till summer. Now if you needed a bookshelf... ;)
Oh wow, I guess I was a little quick to judge on that, I just kind of figured it seemed a little (read: very) odd for that kind of reaction from someone who's spent a few days as a recruit. I also didn't really get why he didn't VR (I know it's something else in the US but I can't remember)...
I think the interesting part is:
and
Although I think it's probable he's not entirely mentally stable, so trying to find reason behind that is questionable I guess. How was he processed in the first place if he was this unstable so as to run onto a tarmac?
Must be something in the water at...
When I was looking at joining I asked about this and was told by the recruiter that if the unit where I was moving to had a position available for my MOSC.
Of course that's purely anecdotal and may not apply to you.
