Paintball is now a cadet approved activity but it comes with strict guidelines!

In central region CRCO 1803 Cadet Training Para 5 states: "5. Tactical exercises with weapons (real or simulated) and “war games” are forbidden" Until that changes its still a no go in Central without many alyers of discussion and assurances.  That said, its not impossible, just very hard.

Air CIC Prohibited from wearing CADPAT?

That is consistent with the Orders of dress for the course according to thje matrix I've seen from RCIS.  You do not need combats to administer a range.

Air CIC Prohibited from wearing CADPAT?

You should be able to find everything you are looking for on scales for the CIC in the CIC learning Centre on CadetNet.

Air CIC Prohibited from wearing CADPAT?

Here is the listing from scale D01301 pertinent to the CIC.  I think it explains the conditions properly.  Mentions nothing about normal entitlement to AIR CIC Officers working outside the ACSTC.  In our supply course the Air CIC scale is limited to D01103, and it does not indicate any...

Air CIC Prohibited from wearing CADPAT?

Thanks Vern, perhaps we've gotten it wrong along the way.  I know that the D01301 clothing only is what has been taught so far so any clarrification is appreciated.

Air CIC Prohibited from wearing CADPAT?

At pressent, the Air element CIC Officers are only entitled to their DEU's.  While employed at a cadet summer training centre or employed with an Army cadet unit they may draw the Army Operational entitlement equal to what the Army CIC officers are given, but it is to be returned when no longer...

    Days Gone By

There certainly is a lot that the program can still offer to cadets, but it does rely on the CIC officers putting it all together.  In that regard I am going to agree and disagree with MedTech.  I agree that the BOQ (soon to be re-branded and redesigned again into BOTC) is not the same as the...

    MLE and Expedition Dress

Quadrapiper, while I am no expert in any way shape or form I can draw from a great deal of different experience.  Cadets of any element do not need CADPAT, or combat clothing of any type for their field training (with the possible exception of range, with a big emphasis of possible).  As CIC...

    Winnipeg vs Trenton Postings

I can comment on the Belleville workforce question for you.  There is quite a bit of non-service sector employment in and around the area (although there is more of the "do you want fries with that work").  Belleville hosts an abnormally high volume of Government departments and agencies which...

    Cadet long service medal

Yes the Sea cadets also have their own service medal.  The whole service medal issue is being discussed quite actively on CadetNet as much as it has been here.

WTB- Airforce Officer Cadet Rank Slip Ons

CADPAT or any operational clothing is not on the CIC scale of issue (or at least not according to the latest update and the training materials for the Supply Officers course dated Jan 2007), however they can be issued on a temporary loan basis for rank qualification and specialist training.  Now...

    I Need Some Advice

True enough on the particulars, but it is still a decent idea.

    I Need Some Advice

Perhaps we shouldn't hire you, but we should at least interview you and those like you who have had children in the system as a tool to use for new or reluctant parents.  All of our materials really are focussed on the cadet with a sidebar paragraph for parents but not real parental...

    Swords

I've done Fencing, Kendo, and Iaido.  8 Wing did Kendo the first couple of years I was there, but the sensei got posted out.  I had started fencing in Toronto on the base there but it moved out to a civilian club in Etobicoke after about 6 months.
