hey, stupid question: I took the advice here and went out and bought shaving "cream" (junk that looks like toothpaste), instead of a pressurized can of say "gillette shave gel". That being said, on my kit list for BMQ it says "Shaving cream, can". Now, will my having this tube of shaving cream...

Applied at CFRC Calgary. Got my paperwork in Oct 27. Ship off to BMQ Feb 18th. I've been told that that time-frame is rather quick. My only complaints are the Christmas break happened to be right in the middle of the process, and that if you called your file manager and left a message, rarely...

All that being said,  I'm curious: what do you rangers DO? I understand you do "search and rescue" roles, but what about military exercises? what is your role in today's Big-Green-Machine? Just curious as to what the "job" of our Rangers is in today's world Edit: Terrible grammar and spelling...

the BMQ i'm on starts Feb 20th. I'm in reg force infantry. I know another one is starting earlier, on Feb 8th. Maybe there are even more start dates, I don't know.

So basically it comes down to what my gym teacher Mr. Saunders would tell all the jackasses in gym class: "(insert name)! Don't be that guy!"

Yeah, Jan 11 i was merit listed i believe. Thats what the Cpl on the phone said. And then today, Jan 19th, was when I was offered the position. So yes. Exciting lol

UPDATE: Jan 19/06 Got the phonecall today, with an offer for infanteer in the PPCLI. Swearing in is on Feb 8th, and training starts Feb 20th. Cheers -Cameron Edit: Muffin won the bet.
