When I remustered into the navy, I went for my first shower at Nelles block.  Laughed my head off at seeing liquid soap dispensers in each shower stall. (liquid soap, so they say, takes longer to pick up)  ;D

I knew a guy that had an aunt that heard "all about sailors", so she sent him soap on a rope so he wouldn't lose it...so of course he decided to wander into the shower with it looped around his ankle.
