Hope this is the right place for this  :-[  but ive been scrolling through the history calendar and Ive found an error with it. It is in reguards to the entry for Jan 25th 1952 which reads:
1952: Vincent Massey appointed first Governor-General of Canada

This is wrong on two counts.

1 He wasnt appointed GG on that day, it was Feb 1st 1952

2 He wasnt the first GG he was the 18th (Since confederation), although he was in fact the first GG to be born in Canada, which is why it is such a historic event. Because all other subsequint GG's had to be Cdn Citizens.

Info is here>>>

Any comment about the original post would be most satisfying.

As the provider of the original data set for the calendar, I have checked my notes and it appears to have been the result of an erroneous original source. I've since deleted the item from my own database as I focussed on military items, and cannot offer further detail than that.

NP, I just happen upon it because I was making quite a few entries myself   ;)

Thanks, I've also updated the calendar here.

P.S. Thanks for the many new entries Blakey. I hope to enter them all in tonight or tomorrow.
