I’m thinking and hoping that idea is shelved indefinitely after the election…

Quite a few provinces have elected to ignore it, and have come out with their own legislation instead. I hope the provinces that haven’t done so end up changing their minds.

But agreed…not much faith in the system. It’s turned into a legal system, not a Justice system, to the point where a ‘fair justice outcome’ is a rarity rather than the norm

Another ugly custody battle turned violent. Family courts need an overhaul from the ground up as they seem to be the trigger for these desperate reactions when the kids are taken from one of the parents. Google "woman kills her own children" and you see piles of examples. It seems Fathers tend to kill the mothers but also sometimes the kids too.

Physical violence is definitely very heavily more often coming from the fathers, but yeah, extreme cases do cut both ways.

No doubt about that. The system is heaviliy biased against Men and that also needs to change.
