how about Darryl Worley? 'I just came back from a war' is a great song and the lyrics are SO true! ... "i hope you cherish this sweet way of life, and i hope you know that it come with a price..." :salute:

Egads...if you're going to have a country music thread, at least have some Legends in it.  Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline, Hank Snow, June Carter Cash, Waylon Jennings, Tammy Wynette, Willie Nelson, Roy Acuff, Buck Owens, Hank Williams, Loretta Lynn, Earl Scruggs, Johnny Paycheck...too many names to mention.  Too bad few of the "new blood" country stars can acknowledge the debt they owe these folks and it is truly a shame you can't pay today's "country" stations to play them.

Try:

Johnny Cash - Anything!  But Man in Black, Jackson - with June Carter Cash and A Boy named Sue are favourites of mine.  How many stars of today do you think would dare set foot in a prison, let alone play multiple concerts there and record them for live release?
Hank Snow - Not a lot on youtube but this one is good Music Makin' Mama
Earl Scruggs - Foggy Mountain Breakdown.  Look'it the famous faces in here!
Hank Williams - Cold Cold Heart
Buck Owens - Act Naturally
Alison Krauss and Union Station - Steel Rails  OK, not a Legend (yet) but wow!

She ain't there yet.

point 2
Insinuating that she's a star  at least in relation to those listed above could be considered pushing it.
