What do you think is the best Main Battle Tank?

And doesn‘t this one open the door for debate. I‘d be interested in knowing why the Abrams so far out-places the Leo II when they started out as the same project and carry basically the same gun, particularly given the increased difficulty in supporting the Abrams‘ higher fuel consumption and poor track.

Could this be merely a case of familiarity with the M1 from so many movies, newsreels, and perhaps joint exercises?

And then there is the whole discussion behind the differences in design philosophy.

Perhaps this one should be moved to the Armour board.
