I agree 100% the military MUST do a lot more to support the reserves. Ever since the early 90's the reg force has relied on the reserves more and more for they're numbers and in return the military does not give the reserves the support that they need and deserve.

I like the last post except the part stating that troops will look to get slightly injured to receive an medal. Thats just nuts getting injured is not a fun way to get a medal

Trenton is bad for kids stealing any support magnets.. I caught a kid doing it at the A&P down town Trenton last year.

My experience with the M203 mounted on the C7 the only complaint I had with it was my repositioning of my fire positions. With the M203 under the hand guards I had to re teach myself to shoot the C7 do to the fact it changed my fire postion

There is a lot of plans for new buildings New Tower, New fire hall ( ground breaking around sept 2010) when Heavy euipment building and new EME building. just to name a few. The amount of money thats going to be poured into Trenton is going to be insane...

No doubt.  SARs do earn their pay check. Its too bad they are hurting in numbers just like the rest of the trades in the forces.

I don't know how this threat is going but Here at CFB Trenton everything is going ahead for the arrival of the C-17's the original date was in march it is now moved to June. They is a lot of building construction set to start this year. Projects and proposal have already gone through the fire...

Actually they are doing a trial for direct entry SAR techs.. no joke they recruits have to be Paramedic qualified. I believe a few are going through recruit school now and are to be on the next cereal SAR course. It will be interesting to see if this actually works.  I have a couple friends on...
