I think Winnipegers and Canadians in general forget how dangerous a job being a fire fighter is. Its been a long time since we lost  one in Winnipeg to a fire like this and it is a great loss for our city but lets not forget that a lot of fire fighters die of complications of doing their jobs...

Without the turret basket in the way you would have a lot more room to place equipment and do a better layout of the compartment. Do you think the fact that the vehicle doesn't have the turret would draw unwanted attention?

I don't want to knock AirBus because I think they make a good product but the fact is the C130J is flying now. The A400M hasn't had its maiden flight yet, I don't believe they have even completed the first air frame. They say they could deliver the A400M in the same time frame as the C130J but...

Its probably not going to take ten years to train. It will take ten years for them to figure out how and with what. Its likely that even though a blind man could have seen this coming that there has been no forethought put into this at all, like picking a weapon, caliber, holster, training...
