The waiting time depends on your application, and if the trade is in demand or not. I believe the Reserves are quicker, but then again, it depends on your application. There are some who waited over a year, and some as little as few months. The bottom line is, it varies from person to person.

Hmm as to tips, get a good night sleep, don't stress over it, take your time and if you do not know a question - move on and go back after completing rest of the questions given. Just remember that time is not on your side so don't focus on one question too long or else you'll be regretting it.

If you're planning to go to apply to Regular Force, there is an option called Regular Officer Training Program, which I assume pays for your education, but you will have to talk to the recruiter about that if you plan to pursue that option...

I'm assuming you're applying to the Regular Force, if so, from what I read, you won't be doing the physical test, like the Reserves does, during your application process. You'll be doing it after (if) you get the call for your trade. If you want to make your application stand out, go volunteer...

Since you mentioned it, I'll probably end up writing my autobiography on paper, and have a printed copy just in case if I'm allowed to use it. How do you know if they only accept written autobiography on lined paper for every unit, does it not vary depending on who you're giving it to?

1. Firstly, to even be qualified you must pass the CFAT. As well as doing more volunteering work doesn't hurt with shining your application, and doing extracurricular activities (working out and such) as you'll be listing those when you apply. My application went by pretty fast (in 4 months)...
