    CF Pilot Medical Standards

True, thank you. I can imagine a lower blood pressure would not be preferable when pulling several g's for the risk of blacking out.

    CF Pilot Medical Standards

This question would probably be best answered by someone in the medical field or a pilot: Do beta-blockers hinder one's ability to qualify for the Pilot trade? Ie. low dosages, ~10mg Propanolol. Thanks for input, and happy flying.  :salute:

I'm currently a 3rd year Chemical Engineering student going through ROTP, currently in the ACSO trade. My question is, what kind of opportunities are there to pursue graduate studies (possibly in aerospace/mechanical engineering) at some point during my career? Would studying in the United...

Thanks for all of your input everyone. ROTP ACSO is certainly a great opportunity, and the trade itself is unique and could allow me to fly in the civvy world during any free time! However I have one last question. Through the grapevine I've heard that one is eligible to bypass PFT with a...

    ACSO to Pilot Transfer??

After some researching, the Victoria Flying Club offers a commercial pilot license for just over $10000: http://www.flyvfc.com/flight_training/index.php?id=17&press=1&draw_column=1:3:2#CPL Some of the cadets on my power course did their PPL training here. I did mine at Montair Aviation in Pitt...

    ACSO to Pilot Transfer??

Hi all, I'm hoping someone could answer my question here. Is possible to transfer trades from ACSO to Pilot, and if it is possible, the likelihood of it. ACSO seems like a great trade, but I've always wanted to do pilot. I've done the Glider and Power Pilot Scholarship courses through the Air...

A day in the life of... a pilot

Silentstriker, that's what I did as well.  Unfortunately, I've only had my air nav exam and turned down the job offer because I really want to get pilot. I applied at the beginning of last year (my grade 12) and I'm in first year university taking engineering and I'm still waiting for an offer...

    Aircrew Selection/ACS (Merged)

Hello, I was wondering if anyone knows how long it takes the Air Force to hire pilots after a potential candidate has completed aircrew selection? I am still waiting for a call to the selection though, and I am hoping gaining flying hours this summer will help. I have also done a lot of research...
