It seems that everyone I read about going to Borden this summer for basic is in the reserves. Anyone besides me in Reg force going?

I was told there will be around 250 people swearing in. Parking should be fun. Maybe I will bus it. Safe trip to everyone travelling here to swear in.

HUH? Why would people be turned away? Everywhere I look there are empty units.

They do it I guess to get everyone done at once. I got my call about a month ago. Do my paperwork and of May and swear in June 3. I know I am swearing in with 250 people. Man that will be a long day.

No reg force army which is why I am confused on why I get Borden and everyone else gets St. Jean.

About doing BMQ for comm research in shilo only is not true. I am going to Borden for my BMQ and am comm research.

There is a BMQ starting June 12 in Borden. I'm on that one.

The info I got said no walkmans so I guess that means no discmans or ipods as well. :( I will miss my music.

Well i did try to search function before anyone jumps me ;) and found nothing. What is the differance between basic in St Jean and Borden. Everyone I know has gone to St. Jean and it seems everyone goes there but me :( . They are sending me to Borden. So what is the differance really?

Like everyone said you kinda need a car to get to leitrim or car pool with people. There is only one bus and it does not work out at all for shift workers. If you do live on base though there are quite a few that go to leitrim that you can pool with. Good luck on everything. I go to BMQ in June.

Thank you for your responses. I will call them tomorrow. I can't wait to get in. I have worked so hard to get to this point and am very excited. heck when I first signed up I couldn't do a single push-up now I passed my entire PT test with flying colors. I have had 3 snags in the process too...

So would i call my file manager for that? I did my PT test last wednesday so I would think I don't know call them tomorrow since it will be a week since I did my test. WOW! I just want in already. When did you finish everything?
