My sister and I just did the Ortona toast as a favour to some members of the Regiment. Happy 125th to the RCR and The RCDs.

Just about everybody ran faster than me! LOL But it was my first half so I'm pleased with my time. All I wanted to do was cross the finish line still standing!

OMG...I thought they were crazy. We passed them around the 19K mark. Saw them after the finish line. They did pretty well.

Finished my first half marathon in 2:49:24!!! It was an awesome run! Congrats to everyone who took part!

I'll be there with a couple of girlfriends. Gonna be my 1st half marathon - goal time is just to finish. Good luck everyone!

However, what you might come up with are families that just want their privacy back. Yes they are so much more than just their job. But families like mine are just trying to get back to some sense of normalcy and don't necessarily want to be back in the spotlight again.

I'm sure that the families were treated very well. If it were my son or daughter, I imagine I would forever publicly mourn my child. However, as a spouse, there comes a point where you need to move on and begin living again. Imagine how tiring it can get to be paraded about as a "celebrity"...
