    BIQ

Depending on your instructors, possibly prepare yourself for more cock than BMQ/SQ.  Discipline yourself to not laugh at some creative insults.

    The Capt. Trevor Greene Thread

I really hope Lt. Greene makes a full recovery. I met him during the North Saskatchewan Regiment's Armistice Ball this past November, when I sat beside him at the dinner table.  We started talking the regular chit-chat, and he asked what I was taking at university, and I mentioned International...

Cadets Joining the Reserves - Can it be Both?

I have to agree with what 2332Piper has been saying.  It's all about your personal priorities.  Right now, you're a teenager with a whole future ahead of you.  You can only stay in Cadets until 19... then you can join the Reserves if you like.  If you're so hardcore for Cadets right now, then...

Tae Guk Gui - The Brotherhood of War (movie)

I had heard a lot about this movie on the net... then one day I was in HMV and, much to my surprise, saw it sitting on the shelve and just immediately grabbed it and walked to the cash.  Great movie!

Cadets Joining the Reserves - Can it be Both?

As soon as I had turned 16 (January 2002), I walked into the Argyll recruiting office one parade night.  After being in Cadets for 3 years then, I was so sick of it.  I was so eager to join because I had been so interested in the Army when I was younger and thought that Cadets would be a good...

    What is your military status?

I know you just were sworn in, so probably won't not know, but is Sgt. Braida still around? Yesterday marked 3 years since being sworn in with the A&SH of C.  R031 trained, but a piper still.  Now I'm attached to the North Saskatchewan Regiment... will probably have to transfer over though...

    Infantry of Tomorrow

Also, there should be a Combat Piper thrown into each Platoon.  Keep the morale up.

    Highlanders

I think Findlater's pipes are in a museum at Edinburgh Castle... I can't recall the name of the piper who they belonged to, but he was a Gordon and was wounded during the battle. Haughs of Cromdale is an excellent tune (just piped the CO up to the Mess with it last week).  Cock of the North is...

    Attaching to another Unit

Thanks for all the help :) I inquired with my BOR and they said to just write a Memorandum (anyone have the correct format? lol) and submit it up the chain of command.  The CO will approve it and they will contact the other unit to make things all kosher. I'll be in Saskatoon at the beginning...

    Attaching to another Unit

I used the Search button, but couldn't find any posts regarding attachment to another unit.  I hear that you can parade with another unit if you are staying away from your home unit (i.e. for University, etc.).  Does anyone have any information on how this works such as any regulations on period...

    Highlanders

We do this as well, don't worry. Warrant: One thing Highlanders should always do is buy the piper who played them into battle drinks after!  ;D

    Pics from Op Athena

Nice Photos :)  How is it in Afghanistan... Last night they called for volunteers to put in their name to go on the next ROTO (I think...) and I'm likely going to put my name down for it.  Chances I won't get it though :P  Well, what would the chances be for an 18 year old Reserve Infanteer been...

    Stalwart Guardian 04

Oh... one thing that wasn't quite right about the OBUA.  I only got to do it once, which was the second time around... there weren't enough Sim. kits to go around and about 2 sections had to stay back and rack out while everyone else got the fun :(  The first raid was actually a success... the...
