Well Ive looked around and cant find any information if work up training is class B or class C. A little insight on this issue would be greatly appreciated.
Tour leaves Sept 09 I believe.

Thank You.

Normally Class B up until a certain point in the training, when it converts to Class C.  Depends on position, unit, task, line serial, etc etc - it varies widely.

I'd say ask your Orderly Room or Chief Clerk, or that of the unit you are planning to apply to for the position.

Best of luck in your search.

Thanks for the quick reply. Ya ill wait till Xmas block leave is done . Geeze must be nice to have a month off!

Rule of thumb:  If it's a course to get quals you need, class B; if it's the collective pre-deployment part, class C.  With variations; some IT may be class C.

Policy on Primary Reserve Personnel
(a) In accordance with reference C, Class C is authorized when reservists are employed on operational duties approved by the CDS. Operational duties have been extended to include the period of HR training, which according to the Reserve Activation Policy includes supplemental training. However, the period of supplemental training is not intended for hiring reservists to address deficiencies within the institutional Army nor to bring reservists up to Regular Force standards. Class C service is authorized 11-12 months in advance of deployment when reservists join a TF or HR training. All other training required to address individual deficiencies or vacancies within the institutional Army will be conducted on Class B Reserve contracts; and
(b) The bulk of Class C contracts will be activated upon confirmation that member has been DAGed GREEN for deployment. Every effort shall be made to ensure that all Primary Reserve personnel are on Class C contract once they commence training for deployment. Class C Reservists are authorized to fill positions within the replacement
pool on the authority of LFWA G3.
