What Will Be In Our Buy-Out Packages?

- After PM Dion takes the helm, he may be somewhat constrained in the legislative department, but there is MUCH that can be done on the regulatory side of things that does not require the approval of Parliament (example: gun owners beware!). 

- As far as the military goes, the socialists will be frothing at the mouth to exact revenge for the misplaced goodwill that has been showered on the CF, which the socialists believe should have rightly gone to Mao, Fidel, Pierre, Che, and so on.  They will no doubt also believe that the CF is completely contaminated by a few remaining cold war dinosoars and Afghan combat vets who have mis-placed priorities regarding future peacekeeping and environmental activist missions.  Hence, a radical cleansing of the CF is in order.

- On the Reserves side of the house, this will be easy.  They need merely sewer the man-day budget and tell the caretakers not to unlock the front door of the Armoury for a few years.

- Regulars, it will be a bit trickier.  A new FRP (Force Reduction Plan) to clean us out.  After all, we are still suffering from the FRP we had in the 90s, so it is a proven tool in the long term castration of the Forces.

- So, what will the NEW FRP (NFRP) consist of?

Considering the state of the current economy and job prospects for the short term? Anything short of full buy out of mortgages, or equivelant should be treated with absolute scorn. Of course that is the beginning.

Where were you when the Liberals froze our wages for six years?

Working a minimum wage civi job, while working in the reserves. A wage freeze is superior to being let go altogeather.

And by those in Ottawa, I do mean the politicians who make the decisions which impact us all on the basis of how they will look in tomorrow's paper.

I forgot to mention, that while on QL 2, I made the mistake of working out my hourly wage... I was worth less then a dollar per hour then (after taxes)... That was kind of depressing.
