Wearing of maple leaf

Quick question if I may;
WRT wearing of the maple leaf flag on a jkt or motor cycle vest.
The appropriate and most common  way is on the left hand side above the heart;
my question would be is there a regulation or directive that states where we should wear our flag?
tried the search  - no luck.

While there are guidelines for displaying the flag, if there's no specific rule to cover your use then accepted practice is to treat is with honour. In my riding group, we wear the flag on our left breast.

Thats pretty much what I thought, we do wear it in the same place, but just getting a little grief  from an outside source

Just thought there may have been an obscure rule/guideline out-there
