Two New Works on the US Army and its Allies in the Korean War

In Allies of a Kind, Allan R. Millett, the renowned historian of the Korean War, looks closely at how Canadian forces prepared for combat in Korea and operated with their US Allies. To download a copy, go to: http://usacac.army.mil/organizations/lde/csi/pubs#new.

This provocative study (The United States and the British Commonwealth in Korea, 1950-1953: A Critical Study of the Origins of Joint Publication 3-16, Multinational Operations by Matthew D. Marfongelli), winner of the Arter-Darby Award in 2014, examines the evolution of the multinational effort during the Korean War and its implications for US Army doctrine. I've downloaded both but have only had time to quickly scan the Canadian-centric pub.  Doesn't seem to have anything that shouldn't already be familiar to anyone (especially Canadian) who has studied our involvement in Korea.  What does make these interesting is that they were published by a US military institute.
