Three Rivers Regiment

Is there anyoen here from the Three Rivers Regiment ?
I know it is a Res Unit now but I am looking for anyone with contacts with any  WW2 vets who would of been in Italy December 1943. I am looking for information on my  great  uncle Ward Warren Tpr, who died 21/22 Dec 1943
I was sent a link on the history of the regiment and read this
"At 1900 hrs, an “O” Group is held again at B.H.Q. of the
Edmonton Regt, and plans for a direct assault up the main
street of ORTONA are made for tomorrow. Burial services for
Tpr. W.W. Warren are held at LANCIANO today. Tpr. Warren
died under mysterious circumstances while in the town on the
night of December 21/22."

Just wondering if anyone might remember this incident and might be able to share some details .

The Three Rivers Regiment is now named 12e RBC(M). It is stationned in Trois-Rivières, Qc.
