TORONTO (CP) - Suspected terrorist Mohammad Mahjoub was ordered released from custody Thursday in a Federal Court decision that his lawyers described as a "tremendous relief" despite a legal process to which they "cannot see an end."
Although Mahjoub won't be released until his Toronto home is modified to satisfy the judge's conditions - a task which could take weeks - his wife said she's looking forward to feeding him.
"I wish to cook him a big meal," Mona El Fouli said of her husband, who on Thursday was on day 84 of a hunger strike to protest his living conditions under detention.
If this man is a known high ranking member of a terorist organization why is he still here? Why are we pussyfooting around or is the government worried they may be wrong about him and have to shell out another few million for wrongful confinement?
