Is there a problem with theft from the rooms that you stay in at Borden or does everyone respect other peoples property?

My experience is that you have locks, lockers, and barracks boxes for a reason.  That is not to provide temptation.

How old are you?

Do you understand written instructions?

Are you really going to try and join as a Military Policeman?

Have you read the Rules of Conduct?
Army.ca Conduct Guidelines: MUST READ - http://forums.army.ca/forums/threads/24937.0.html

Have you tried to use the Search Function?
Search page - http://forums.army.ca/forums/index.php?action=search;advanced

Are you on the Mods Radar?

If you have answered "NO!" to any of the above, then consider yourself Warned.

HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Platoon 2ic (referring to a POW): "Did you search him?"
b_carn: "No, but I assume he's unarmed and has no tools or documents on his person"
*POW pulls pistol from belt and shoots both the 2ic and b_carn*

Let me put it this way.. if you cant nail it down. lock it up. Label everything you own. EVERYTHING...

your course mates may not steal from you... but there are alot of bored army brats on that base as well... and there may be other courses in the same building as you.

Its not a pleasant thought to imagine your fellow soldiers stealing from you, but some of the people who join may not have the same ideals as you, or value the same things as you, and dont have the same qualms about taking what is not theirs...

I wouldn't worry too much about your personal items in your room at Borden.  You're not supposed to have anything worth taking in your room with you, and if you're hiding your cell phone or laptop in there you're just asking for trouble.  I'd follow the advice above and mark everything (issued kit) really well and always lock up anything that can be taken from you.  You might be suprised to learn that having things taken from you isn't always the work of thieves.  You may find that you're having to go an speak to your course Warrant to ask for things back, which will make you feel pretty stupid. Just ask Jordan (my roomate from Borden BMQ) whos standing here reading this.

Anyway, good luck,  just play the game and you'll be fine.

Lets see, Locks at the CANEX, I think they are like $2.97. All the closets have the ability to put a lock on it, and the doors into your room can lock.....Easy enough.
