New World Order Conspiracy

I was researching conspiracy theories and I came across this particularly interesting one called the New World Order(NWO) conspiracy. I did some reading and now...I'd like to start a discussion because I know most of you people here are smart, experienced, and educated. There's lots of explanation to do, but I will try my best to condense it into a few points:


- a theory in which a powerful group of people have plans to eventually rule the world through ONE world government
- group supposedly consists of worldwide organizations and influent people, such as the UN, world bank, illuminati, world health organization, etc
- theory suggests that this process of global domination is gradual, with formation of different major organizations (UN, WHO, etc), and different historical events (world wars, 9/11, etc)
- predicted changes include restricted freedom of speech, gradual loss of civil liberties, mind control, elimination of national sovereignty

Now...to start the discussion. Personally, I don't know WHAT to think, but I am terrified of this "One world gov't" concept, as it is very similar to living under a Nazi Regime. But I'd like to hear from you people for more insight.

I have always found it interesting that the same group that call Bush an idiot are the same bunch that accuse him of perpetrating the greatest conspiracy of all time.

As for the NWO, all this time and they still can't get it right.  UN, WHO, etc, if these are examples of their attempts at global domination I think we are safe for a very long time.

If there was one or two theories, that would still stick but when there are 50+ and that they all popped up relatively at the same time, it get hard to believe. It must be some of those bush haters who had an inspirational streak.

That, as well as much of the rest are not so much a conspiracy theory as they are a biblical prophecy.  The book of revelations and the rapture come to mind,  when god will take all the true Christians, and the anti-Christ will rule the world as one government, under the guise of a great leader.  It is said to be the end of days.

I am in no way religious.  I just find the bible a fascinating piece of literature.  If I am wrong in anything, please correct me.

You might want to re-read the Apocalypse without relying on your pre-conceived NWO conspiracy bullshit theories for interpretation.

Besides, even 15th century folks knew the Bible wasn't to be taken Literally. You're a bit late catching up, methinks.
