New Colonel Commandant

I just received word on the regimental net that Lieutenant General Mike Jeffery will assume the appointment of Colonel Commandant of the Royal Regiment of Canadian Artillery at a to be announced date this fall.

As an aside, it may be that he is the first graduate of the soldier apprentice program to achieve such a distinction.

The message on the regimental net also included the thanks, which is more than pro forma in his case.

By the way, this may also be unique in that both officers started their regular careers as NCMs.
