Moving to Esquimalt?

Hello all,

Just a quick few questions as all the threads Ive found are ancient. After basic for MARS Officer I've been told Ill have to move out to Esquimalt to do atleast 1 year of training, and possible be posted out there.

Now, I live in Toronto. Are their resources made available to you to MOVE out there? I am a single male and I'm just wondering how the process of actually moving out there goes. Are you provided with housing, or do you have to do all your own research and rent a place as close as you can to the base? What is the typical rent cost out there?

It will all be explained to to you, in detail, when you are at basic officer training in St Jean, but basically yes- resources will be made available to help you move at some point.
