well, i decided i would join the reserves as a cook or clerk when i was 16, im 18 and a half since yesterday. due to stupid med documents and pt issues that took about in excess of 6 months to clear up i had to re apply for the reserves again.

after a little down time to re think where i want to go, what i want to do and graduate high school i re applied for the Reg AF as a ACS Tec.

several months after that i get a phone call for an interview. almost all goes well. i get to the med exam and they tell me i still have a little tube in my ear form a surgery several years ago. i had to stop there and get that cleared. turns out it was just stuck in some wax..

i got a call 2 weeks ago to go finish my PT test and interview. passed all with flying colours. they said you can expect a call anywhere form a month to six.

they call me the next day!

they just wanted some old cadet docs from basic training and rifle coach.  (why?)

I'm getting those tomorrow night, gonna fax a copy in and send a copy via snail mail.

I'm startin to get really stoked! i cant waite.

to anyone who wants it, work at it, don't stop and do your best. you WILL get what you want!.

kudos to you for sticking it out for 2.5 years. best of luck.

Yea, Kudo's bro!  Hopefully they noted your determination in your file!

Oh my gosh your situation is so similar to mine it scary  ;D. I was put out due to medical reasons too and its been the same amount of time more or less (was 16 and now 18) Only real difference is applied for Infantry. Im put my app in but have now been informed PRes is no longer priority so, were gonna wait some more  :blotto:

When I was in for my last interview, I had just sat down in the Captins office, he said he read my file then jokingly that i have been there ( the CFRC) more times then he has. So I know its in there.

Well, I'm just waiting for "The Call"...

I look forward to basic hope i get to got with some of you guys.

wow thats the same as me but Ive only been waiting 1 and a half years. my stupid asthma. now i have to go to the hospital for a psp test to clear that up but i find it dumb that they ask you to go to the doctor to fill out a form about your asthma then no matter what it says that the govt sends a letter saying that your no good (Ive been told) so now after going to the doctors i had to wait like 5 months for this letter telling me I'm no good after my doc said i was fine and now i have to wait another 4 months for me to get into the hospital then all i have to do is my fitness test then I'm in hopfully by this summer 8)

I'll echo whats been said, and cheers to your tenacity. A lot of people said "**** this noise" and went elsewheres after being introduced to CFRC. Luckily, you didnt, and you'll benefit from it.

Yeah, I know a guy that tried to get into the militia this year, and after 3 months and a note from his doc, was still rejected...He has to see a specialist, and hoepfully, he will be with me for basic in 07...  :blotto:

Enrolling in the CF (if successful) can be a long, long process. I know, I remember my own enrollment process, very long, tedious and thorough. You'll see what I mean, especially if you want to be a pilot.
