I don't know if HAMAS worries about polls but that October 6th date feels coincidental. I'm sure HAMAS understands the community in which they live (sea in which they swim?).

Both Iran and Hezbollah have announced that they were caught off guard by the October 7th action. True or not is up for grabs.

But perhaps HAMAS sensed it was losing its grip locally and felt the need for a "spectacular". Were they approaching a no-win situation with the loss of the local affections and the Saudi-Israeli rapprochement developing?

My guess is that Iran as their main sponsor pushed/convinced them to attack Israel which would benefit Iran's long term regional goals, which it has. The cessation of the normalization between the Sunni States and Israel. Judging from the detailed planing exposed in the captured Ops plans, the murder of civilians was a big part of the plan. I am thinking Hamas was gullible and coaxed into a path to create the most chaos possible. Now they are discovering that they are very expendable in the eyes of Iran. Hezbollah is far more important to Iran than Hamas.

I think that, more than BRICS, can be reasonably considered to be a central organizing principle.

Did HAMAS jump or was it pushed? Or did it and CRINK both consider it useful and timely?

Other than a few "volunteers", my guess is that Russia supported Iran in this strategy, but wanted it to be somewhat deniable in the public space.

Lets be real here, while I don't subscribe to the 'Jews run the media' line.

A lot of the power brokers in Hollywood are Jewish.

Not saying it like its a conspiracy, or a bad thing.

Seems a smart thing if you are a Hollywood Star, or want to be one, to keep your mouth shut on anything political anyways.
