got this in my email.

There will be a day of action on Saturday, March
17th, 2007 in cities in Canada, the United States,
and around the world. This is the 4th anniversary
of the invasion of Iraq, and the 6th year of the
occupation of Afghanistan.

Its really ironic, I find.  I was at Trent university over the weekend (where I did my undergrad) and there were many of these posters around, but under several of them were posters saying we should do something Darfur.  I just shudder to think what the Hippies think would be an acceptable Western solution to the crises in Darfur.  Though i'm sure military intervention isn't part of it.  Perhaps a UN led mission that the Sudanese government doesn't want, which would necessitate our invasion of a sovereign country.

Bah, been a long day.  Please disregard my rantings.
