First "Atlantis", then that US UAV base in Pakistan, then this. Here we go again.

Britain's nuclear defense headquarters could be under threat from terrorists using Google Earth.

Close-up aerial views of the top-secret naval base are on the computer program — available for free over the internet.

It even reveals the longitude and latitude of the facility in Faslane, Scotland — home to the U.K.'s Trident-armed nuclear submarine force.

And pictures clearly show two vast Vanguard Class submarines — each capable of carrying 16 nuclear missiles.

Military experts warn that would make it easy for terrorists to launch accurate mortar or rocket attacks.

One told The Sun: "A strike on our nuclear capability would cause untold devastation. Terrorists could have a field day, knowing exactly where to aim strikes to cause the maximum devastation."

As well as HM Naval Base Clyde at Faslane, the program also clearly shows the Trident Special Area near Coulport, just 10 miles away, where nuclear warheads are stored.

Did you know you can see China's new Top secret Nuclear sub on Google earth,
off the Google Earth blog:

When you think about it, the base in Faslane is not a big secret. Its not like Dr. Evils' secret underground lair....
Anyone that wants to know about the area just has to walk it. Anyone with some training can figure out what is kept where. Plus the fact that sailors and soldiers tend to talk too much sometimes....

That, and the big permanent protest camp outside the gates may be a big of a giveaway...

This is a non-story unless the lunatic fringe decide it and Area 51 lie on one of those new age Ley Lines that were soooo popular in the nineties.

And Dr. Evil's secret underground lair wasn't very secret either. That bumbler Powers managed to find it!! ;D

Sorry, but rediscovering old news isnt exactly earth-shattering.  Looks like someone has made a big story out of being out of touch with technology and the Internet for the last ten years or so...

Shhhhh, those were just the magnetic field variances cased by the secret communication cables between the Illuminati and Templar HQs.  They're undetectable now that we've they've switched to fibre optics.
