Is the pin for this worn on uniform or is it just on civilian blazers, cant find much in the Honours and Awards section on the GGs site.

If it's a pin it's most likely for civilian wear only. It sounds like a pin DND civilians awe awarded.

Here's an out-of-date link listing a number of recipients.  It gives a general idea of what it's awarded for --  mostly civilian, predominantly high-ranking and/or long-serving Ottawa bureaucrats, but some military are included within the "group" awards.

It's not included in the Dress Instruction. So, suitable for wear at the ceremony, but not on the uniform afterward. DAOD 5027-1 discusses the award (but not instructions for wearing the pin).

Sounds like you will have a nice certificate for your I Love Me wall, and a pin for your shadow box, as the DM award isn't in the  A-AD-200-000/AG-000 - Honours, Flags and Heritage Structure of the Canadian Forces describes the CF Honours System.
