career advice on leaving Canadaian Forces

My wife offers career counseling using the latest analytical testing methods, (www.careerdelight.com). My question is does the Canadian Army offer any such advice and are leavers given any kind of preparation for life outside the forces. Are you on your own once you announce you are leaving or retiring ?

There are all kinds of resources available, but the Military will not take you by the hand... you must organize yourself. There is a thing called SCAN that helps members prepare for a second career, and everybody is eligible. They also pay for courses, training and CV preparation.
