Canadians in Italy

I‘m looking for anyone who might have known my father Sgt. Major Alfred Benstead. His friends called him Ben.
Dad served in Italy. He was a Red Patch Devil, with the Hasty P‘s 1st Canadian Infantry.
Dad would never speak about the war very much so things for us are pretty sketchy.

I checked out Benstead at the Hasty P museum last night and there is no nominal role showing his name. Their records are not extensive but he should have appeared in one of them, Maybe he was with another unit? Regardless I‘ll ask around with our vets. Paratus.
