Canadian Navy

Now i know this isnt even clos eto army related, but does any one know were I could find info online about the formation of the CDN Navy, and the events/dates, surrounding it? It is for my sister who is in high school. I dont have a clue were to look, and any help would be appreciated.

Admittingly if it's for a school project it might be silly to get that, especially since it's a younger sibling, but at the library they might have a copy.
It's got pictures, I like pictures in textbooks, you get bored of reading you go look at the pictures, Brilliant. If I ever write a textbook I will make use of that technique.
