I lead a modification for the upcoming game Half-Life 2. We are going to feature some Canadian weapon models and want to include as much detail as possible.

For the C7 model, the skinner is Dutch and also can‘t find detailed photos of the C7 on the left side to see a proper serial number (other details as well).

Would someone be able to post an example serial number? I know for certain that at the beginning it is: 88AA or something similar (first 2 digits not always 88). If you could maybe just put 88AA and several ‘x‘ following just to indicate the amount of digits that follow in sequence. Even a photo of the left side of the rifle would be excellent (details on the Diemaco logo especially).

You can view the work in progress model here.

Much appreciated! Also if this post is in the wrong section, my apologies :(

Actually, cancel that, I got one :)

94AAxxxxx

If anyone still has a photo or knows of one, it would be much appreciated.

Good luck on your mod, is it going to feature the CF? I think that would be a great idea.

What it will do is pitt an Army team vs. Guerrillas.

The weapons aren‘t specific, but say the Rifleman carrys a R/Auto 30 round 5.56mm Rifle with a 3.5x site ;) This would let the player customize which weapon model/name would appear for them. So Americans can have an M16A3 and a Canadian gamer can have it appear as a C7A1, and so on.

Kind of hard to explain if you don‘t know gaming. But from just a playing point of view, it would appear that you are the CF :)

Hey Colonel, didn‘t you get slap on the di*k for having that name and not even being in the military?

Hmm...I hope this game isn‘t another Counter Strike clone...that game is about as realistic as a Rambo movie. If anyone here owns a copy of Unreal Tournamnet I suggest you go here: http://infiltration.sentrystudios.net

This game uses 3D iron sights and stamina, realistic ballistics and the such. Although its current release is kind of crap the next one (2.9) is going to be alot better. Oh, and Read The "Friendly" Manual, a saying common in the forums.I also suggest you look into a mutator called RAv2, or just hop onto a server called Jkgdo or something and let it download from there..it improves the realism much.

Unless you die the first time you get shot or close to it, it‘s not realistic

Considering that "schwanz" is German slang for penis, I find that comment rather amusing! :D The colonel thinks he is being clever by using a "bad word" as his sign in. It‘s about as tasteless as the idiot who was posting here as "John Holmes‘ Dong" or whatever dumbass name he picked.

Some of the Operation Flashpoint mods at Operation Northstar are really cool; Iltis, LSVW, MLVW, C7 with Elcan sight, CADPAT uniforms....

If you really want a realistic mod check out True Combat for Quake 3. You die a few seconds after getting shot, you have to factor in bleeding, fatigue, limited ammo, noise, etc. It got updated in the new release and that took out a bunch of good guns, but the basics are all still there.

Also I made a CADPAT skin for GTA3: Vice City.

Op:COIN will try be be as realistic as possible, but still fun

I‘am also on this mod team
