BMQ Weapons

Best I can tell by reading and watching the Basic up series is that during basic you get trained on just the standard rifle.
My question is, do we get trained on other weapons (machine guns, grenades etc) since not all of us are going to be a combat trade?

Im applying for AVN TECH but won't have a SQ course so this is why i ask.

When I went through Basic(2003) you only qualified on the C7 Service Rifle; than you shot the MGs, threw grenades, etc on SQ. I'am not too up to date on the new BMQ courses; but I think SQ is still around just shortened an called BMQ-Land now.

You learn the C7 general service rifle on BMQ at the moment. That's the only weapon you get to use while you're here. With your trade you'll be taught other weapons on a need to know basis...IE/ deployment etc.
