I am SO disappointed, yes and no, yes because I can't go, and no because this is happening basically across the street from me on the 26th Sept. and maybe I'll hear some of the music at least!
I just read a local news bit about this RCMP Rergimental Ball (in their Reds ;D ) Cocktails, a formal 5 course meal, auctions, music and dancing to what sounds like a great R&B band called the "Mocking Shadows" (I think BB King played with them, and they also have taken a number of music awards, so you'll know they are good and popular). Tickets are $75 and proceeds go to Kids with Cancer and their families. What a wonderful sounding event and cause!!! And sounds great fun. Bravo!
I'll be listening ......... and hope they sell a lot of tickets, as I'm sure they will!
