All things Charlottesville (merged)

3000 out of 326 million people. This is your boogyman? Even after the info you just posted which shows a huge decline of members over X years, these are the guys youre worried about?

Interesting.

Funny how small numbers create a boogeyman.

Yeah, if there was only a way to share history other than statues ...

Well, that means people should be about 1/62 as worried, then ...

Have the Neo Nazis been assaulting people and randomly slugging people in the face? I haven't seen many videos of them rioting to know.

Well we know one of them ran over few...

But the context of that has yet to come fully to light.  Was it intentional as believed by many or did the driver panic after being mobbed as others have suggested?

Maybe.  7 felony charges including second degree murder does help with the context though.

Charges, regardless, need to be proven in court and context will play a major part in how it all shakes out.

Charges do not mean there will be a conviction. Second degree murder? i would have thought it would have been first degree, or is the evidence not there to support it?

I'm not a lawyer, but would Murder 1 not require that the motorist drove from Ohio to VA specifically to commit premeditated mass murder?

His mother was on TV saying that the alleged murderer told her he was driving to VA to attend a Trump rally.

Perhaps he acted on impulse after he got there?

"All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law."

More on how complicated the "drive into the crowd" incident may be to prosecute, via the Congressional Research Service ...

I don't think it would have to be that premeditated but there was no indication of significant violence until the police illegally cancelled the permit for the march contrary to a Federal Court order and forced the marchers out of the park onto the streets occupied by the communists.  Note that many of the marchers were armed, some with AR15s and no-one was shot despite a whole whack of rock throwing by the communists.  Watch the videos.

Far Right killed 106 people (since 9-11).  Page 34, Islamists killed 119 people ...

Or 3096 since 9/10, plus 1140 in the area coming down with cancer attributed to toxins from the attack and over 1400 first responders who have since died.

But I get your point (also not intending to sound rude) . I think I read that dogs and toddlers kill more Americans with firearms than white supremists every year.

Bur I'm asking about white supremists who aren't just running their mouth but physically attacking someone. Say during a random conversation .

Not suggesting Neo Nazis are somehow better, just wondering if they're assaulting people at the same regularity that antifa is.

And for those worrying about this stuff happening here...

I don't think either of us are lawyers. It will be up to the courts to decide.

A breakdown of killings by domestic extremists.  Take away Timothy McVeigh and not much is done by white extremists.  A lot of them are labeled workplace violence.  Not sure what that means.  Was that motivation racism or was the murderer coincidentally a racist.

1)  I'm guessing killing someone involves attacking them at some level, so we only have one set of stats of fatal attacks.
2)  To be entirely fair, we can say one side beats the crap outta people more than the other, but if the whole "who's killing who?" stats are anything to go by, I'm thinking there may not be evidence out there other than individual videos/anecdotal stuff :(
3)  So the threat of being punched leads to some white supremacist rallies to need the attached?*

* - Yes, I know no laws seemed to be being broken, but this starts to become like the West-USSR arms race:  who's arms are defensive, who's are offensive, and who's going to be the first to disarm?  Also, antifa/black bloc are not angels in this respect, either, but I haven't seen too much out there about the anarchists coming out w/long arms & tac vests full o' ammo.

A complete repeat of a similar demonstration in Quebec City about a decade ago.

How soon Canadians forget.

I watched the MSM go on and on about Islamic Fundamentalists using cars to kill in London, Paris, Barcelona, etc. and not one mention of the murder of WO Vincent in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu......OF COURSE IT IS HERE already.

The Black Bloc has been creating havoc in North America for over a decade.  These are not White Supremacists, KKK, or anything other than Anarchists.  They are on neither side; not Capitalists, not Socialists, not Communists; none but the creators of chaos.
