Acronyms & Abbreviations of The CAF

-CTS-Clothe The Soldier (though some will argue its meaning to be otherwise)

-CFRC-Canadian Forces Recruiting Centre

-The rank abbreviations en Francais (such as Sdt=Soldat=Private)

-Unit abbreviations

With more input/exposure, this could become a handy resource.

(If someone compiles the full list of Franco rank abbreviations, I will add them. For unit titles, we can start a separate post in the thread, since they would tend to bulk out the present one. - M. O'Leary)

Does anyone recall the official abbreviation for manoeuvre?

(No abbreviation for manoeuvre is listed in the Manual of Abbreviations. - M. O'Leary)

What about "3VP" I know (or atleast I think I know) that its is another name for 3PPCLI (I'm guessing there is 1 and 2 VP as well) but what does it stand for?

Thanks. :)

3VP is a short form for 3 PPCLI, and there is a 1st BN and 2nd BN.  The VP comes from the centre of the capbadge which has the initials VP, which stands for Victoria Patricia
