Hi, I've just recently enrolled with the Combat Engineers, and I'm starting BMQ this friday. I'm wondering, because I'm a university student, and I have to do some courses this summer, so I won't be able to do SQ and MOC. I'm wondering what I'll be doing for the next year, because I will have no real qualifications. Thanks.

Your unit will decide how it employs you.  Some reserve units have PAT sections that do OJT, or there may be a Bde run SQ course for recruits who (for whatever reasons) did not complete a summer SQ.

if you are reserves you can take the winter or fall weekend course for bmq

but dont piss off trg ops cuz itll make the difference between you getting good courses in the future or not

it is always best to get your basic courses out of the way ASAP to get on to the real training
