"CHRISTMAS IN HEAVEN"
Christmas in Heaven for our men so brave,
We have your memory and a cold marble grave,
But what of you my old friend from the past,
Have your years with the Angels made you peaceful at last.
Christmas in Heaven because of a war,
Not shared with a family as it was once before,
We the living feel all the pain,
Oh how we long for your company again.
Christmas in Heaven, what a wondrous thought,
The ultimate peace for which we fought,
Tho given the choice I know what you'd say,
Save me a beer on this Christmas Day.
Christmas in Heaven I guess it was fate,
That God took you to the great Pearly Gate,
A toast to you my friend up high,
May we be worthy for that which you died.
