Where did you get that information from exactly?

    Engineering at RMC

I'd say you'd be surprised how many people are taking engineering, aside from all the engineering jobs (lesse, CONST ENG, ENGINEERS, EME, AERE, CELE, SIGNALS, MARE, don't think I forgot too many), engineering looks good for other jobs, mostly all those who want to be competitive for pilot.

    Anyone here have a MAC?

He's talking about a normal MacBook, and the Intel GMA 950 does suck for 3D games.  The apple store webiste/system requirements on the boxes only say so for Supreme Commander and BF 2142 I think, but that doesn't mean It can run aother games.  The Sims 2 on mine (Core 2 Duo 2Ghz, 3GB Ram) is...

    ROTP 2008-2009

In service selection is different for sure, but that makes sense, I had a 2-1/2 to 3 hour interview for my application to UTPNCM, where I was expected to know all about the trades and the training I would be going through, etc.  My interviews for CIC Officer and then Reg NCM both were less than...

    ROTP 2008-2009

Curious question for most of you, but isn't Air Ops a branch, containing trades like Pilot, Air Nav, Aerospace Control, etc?  Do you not get the exact trade until after RMC/CivU?  I know it's a different program but my UT Offer had the trade on it, not the branch?

Sig Op QL3 Cease of Training Rumour???

etc.. A recent LCIS QL5A course that finished in March was told that LCIS will lose spec spay, and that pay would be frozen for us that do recieve it.  Take it with a grain of salt but that's another rumor for you.

Ex PHOENIX RAM - Brigade Training Event 2005 (BTE 05) in Wainwright

Why would anyone want time off in Wainwright?  I'm posted here and knowing work is there gets me through the off hours.  :dontpanic: Seriously though, sorry, I don't know the status of the folks out past the gates.

    R/C Aircraft

If I did that it would have to go both ways though... get some WES equipment so I can shoot up people doing CMTC serials here  ::)

    R/C Aircraft

Yeah, the only problem is I'm trying to find things to do to keep me occupied here, instead of driving all the time, and I think the nearest clubs are all over 100km away.  I'll check the standing orders though and see if it's brought up.

    R/C Aircraft

Hi all, hopefully this isn't a dumb a question as I think it is but I'll ask anyway.  ::) I want to get started in Radio Controlled Airplanes, and was wondering if anyone knows if it's ok or a "really bad idea" to fly them on base? Thanks

    Bandies, I need help!!

All music testing has to be done through your RCSU Music Coord or somebody they've "ok'd" to do testing.  Not to burst your bubble but your drum major probably can't test you, when I was CIC I tested to 3s at CSTC but I couldn't test even basic at the LHQ level.  As for theory test, last I knew...

    ATIS training

There's currently contention between CFSCE (The communications school here in K-Town) and PRETC (the PAT Battallion in Borden) about where we (I'm LCIS) go after POET, I was lucky enough to work at the CFSCE Tech Maint Shop for the two months I waited, but some people are sent back to Borden to...

Incentive Pay Category For Cadets Joining The CF

While there is nothing in reg force that allows faster promotions from cadets, remember that CIC is part of the Reserve component.  So if you "transfer" you get Time Credit Promotion at the rates which are (I think) 1 for 1 class B/C and 1 for 4 class A. One thing that wasn't clear for me...
