Why won't the recruitment centres answer the phone?

That made me LMFAO. Anyways its a new fiscal year and being such the RC are probably bogged down with all the old applications of last year that are being reopened as well as new ones comming in its a busy time of year, especially for the RC. Just a tip from my experiance, I have never had a...

All things LASIK surgery (aircrew/other -- merged)

I agree with I, Citizen here... the Docter actually suggested that the age i was at (22) was around the perfect age because your eye is still young and healthy and has had less of a chance to develop problems that would complicate the surgery... once again just my experiance. Go talk to a DR

Criminal Records Check - CRC (Merged)

This is not 100% true if you are convicted of a crime within a year after you turn 18, your young offender record will be braught forward onto your adult record.

All things LASIK surgery (aircrew/other -- merged)

I am not currently going through for a trade that required an air crew medical but have went through a similar situation. I am 22 and went to LasikMD and they said to me that sometimes after surgery there is a chance of your eyes regressing (obviously the chance increases the worse your eyes...

Yeah that was really the point i was trying to get across to everyone, STAY MOTIVATED. Well its been over a year now and i am still as dedicated as i was the first day i walked into the RC inquiring about joining the Canadian Forces. Enhanced Reliability Check (ERC) - Merged

I believe it is for a criminal background, I have done many things to show i am not the same as i was... such as volunteering even completing my grade 12 (although i dont expect points for something that shouldve been done years ago) I am in the middle of the paron process at the moment as they...

    Wrong number? Agh!

Merit listed for 2 years? Its to my understanding once getting on the merit list you're only on it for 1 year untill you have to redo your interview etc... (As well medical and everything is usually only good for a year) Either way keep your head up!! Next one will be for you.

How does one become a Mentor?

I agree with PuckChaser 100%, I may not have many posts but I have helped a number of people through PMs that arn't confident enough to post something in fear of getting dogpiled minus points and things like that. As well I may not have any experiance in the military other then the application...

Canadian Forces Aptitude Test (CFAT) [MERGED]

I agree here, although nobody can tell you exactly what is on the test as it is prohibited it is best to prepare in all areas to the best of your ability. The recruiter did tell me that this is the best test to prepare for the cfat...

    When Should I reapply

And to answer the second part of the question (and someone can correct me if im wrong) but from what the recruiter told me when you apply the first time you are assigned a number and that number follows you forever as far as the military is concerned i want to say "service number" but not sure...

    When Should I reapply

It is also my understanding that without some MAJOR educational upgrading a 3rd rewrite is very hard to attain as well... So i would attempt to show them some educational upgrading you've done and show them why you deserve a third shot. Also just to clarify i know for a fact the wait time from...
