Why not be a cop and in the primary reserves? That's my goal at the moment. I am getting sworn in this month into the Primary reserves. I have also just completed college for Police Foundations and will write my ATS next year.
Thanks DOB.
I received an official letter last week regarding my enrollment ceremony. I also received my e-mail a few weeks ago.
I guess they don't need to make a phone call?
Yes, the course starts in October. We are given the schedule for the weekend training in the e-mail.
There was no mention of coming to the parade nights on Tuesdays. Does this mean showing up on Tuesdays is not a requirement until we complete SQ?
Update:
I just got an e-mail from the RHLI recruiter for my enrollment date! I am so happy! The process was actually a lot quicker than I thought.
Just a question: Is it weird that I didn't get a phone call? I received an e-mail only.

Call on Tuesdays (their parade night) when the recruiter is in. I called in over a month ago and he said there were spots available for the course starting in September.
I just passed the fitness test a few days ago, and have my medical, CFAT and interview completed. I'm just waiting for the call now for the course in September. Is anyone else joining the Rhileys, and have you guys received your call yet?
Anyone know if they are recruiting a lot? That's what...
Just an update if anyone was interested...
It turns out I didn't have to fill out the pre-sec forum, and that I actually indeed have to fill out the background check, credit and criminal check only.
And hoping there will be more infantry slots come April...
Well, I already have my CFAT, medical, and interview done. Just last week they called me and I had to fill out a security clearance form. Not much else to do. I've been reading the forums a lot and just thinking ahead, good no?
Thank you for the information Brasidas. I want to know which prescription level would not be compatible with the BEWs because I believe my glasses prescription is at -8 (that's all the information I know off hand), and it required to, I can still see fine at a lesser prescription level.
Hi, I've been searching for information on the Canadian Forces ballistic eyewear.
I found a link describing it: http://www.forces.gc.ca/aete/ballisticeyewear-lunettesdeprotectionbalistique-eng.asp
On the page, it mentions "A corrective lens carrier for most prescriptions. NOTE: Prescriptions...
